The US economy grew at a faster clip than even Donald Trump’s presidential administration had expected, according to the latest Commerce Department report which was delayed by the government shutdown. While significantly lower than Q3’s annualized rate of growth of 3.4%, the Q4 result of 2.6% is 0.4% higher than expected and above average when compared to other years in this period of economic expansion.
