By CCN Markets: Destiny, the game franchise which Bungie has used to inspire players to invest millions of hours into their product, is becoming free-to-play for vanilla content. Beyond free-to-play, Destiny 2 will be getting cross-platform play, though much later on. Rumors have begun circulating that Bungie will double-down on Destiny 2. If they do, Bungie may cancel Destiny 3 and invest all of their time into building the franchise.
