Fernando Piquer, CEO of Movistar Riders, said: “We couldn’t be any happier and prouder of the three years we’ve worked [out] with Atlético de Madrid. This will be a very nice competition organised by LaLiga. We’re going to give it our all to do as well as possible.”

The second season of eLaLiga will award a total of €100,000 (£83,246.50), with teams earning points via online matches and tournaments. The FIFA 20 Global Series league will hold a mid-season tournament in Barcelona and ultimately conclude on May 9th at a live finals in Madrid.

Esports Insider says: eLaLiga is one of the most prominent leagues in the FIFA 20 Global Series, so it’s great to see more LaLiga clubs signing up for this season. Not only that, but joining forces with established esports organisations is a smart move.
