Gfinity secures five-year deal with Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management
London-based tournament organiser Gfinity and Abu Dhabi Motorsport Management entered a five-year deal to create a simulation racing championship.
The Esports Racing Championship (ERC) will be jointly owned by the two parties and is said to feature a “unique format” that hasn’t been used in sim racing to date. The new racing series will feature two seasons taking place in each calendar year, with the inaugural season beginning this year at a date that has yet to be revealed.

Team Liquid to stream on HUYA through 2022 with deal extension
Multinational organisation Team Liquid extended its exclusive streaming partnership with Chinese platform HUYA through 2022.
As part of the extension, new faces from under the Team Liquid banner will stream for the first time on the platform. The deal between Team Liquid and HUYA was first forged in June last year, resulting in the organisation’s League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Apex Legends, Hearthstone, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players broadcasting their gameplay.

Cloud9 partners with Excel Esports shareholder Guinevere Capital
North American organisation Cloud9 entered a strategic partnership with Guinevere Capital, the majority shareholder in Excel Esports.
The partnership will see Guinevere Capital take logistical control over Kings Row LLC, a subsidiary of Cloud9 that operates Overwatch League franchise London Spitfire and Contenders team British Hurricane.

Vodafone Giants acquires fellow Spanish organisation x6tence
Spanish organisation Giants Gaming, known as Vodafone Giants through a naming rights deal, acquired x6tence.
Vodafone Giants will integrate x6tence into its structure, onboarding the organisation’s managers and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. The acquisition is said to be a “strategic movement that brings together in one company two of the most important emblems in Spain of the esports sector.”
