Danish esports organisation North announced today that it has extended its sponsorship deal with EPOS through 2020.

The partnership originally began between North and the Sennheiser brand in August 2019. Sennheiser rebranded its gaming and enterprise segments to EPOS late last year.

Christopher Håkonsson, CEO of North, commented in a release: ”We are very thrilled to extend our partnership with EPOS. Sound quality is one of the most important factors when competing in all esport titles, and with EPOS we ensure that our esport athletes in CS:GO, FIFA, and Apex Legends are equipped with state-of-the-art headsets.”

North players will utilise EPOS headsets during competition. Additionally, EPOS branding will appear on North players’ jerseys during the upcoming ESL Pro League season for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and social media content will be shared with the #HearTheComms hashtag. EPOS also recently announced a partnership with the BLAST Premier tournament series.

Andreas Jessen, Senior Director of Product Management and Marketing, Gaming at EPOS, added: “As a leading Nordic esports organisation, North is an obvious partner for EPOS. Their focus on performance and professionalism make them a great match for us. Dedication to premium audio is in our DNA and being able to realise this through this extended partnership is exciting for EPOS’ ambitions to be involved in the professional gaming scene.”

Esports Insider says: Sennheiser had already made some connections in esports, including with NRG and the San Francisco Shock, and now the rebranded EPOS looks to continue that trend with North and BLAST Premier in 2020.
